Wanted: Marine designer who thinks out-of-the-box.

Marco Polo Boats, Inc. (MPB), seeks a creative boat designer willing to work on speculation and in partnership to develop MPB’s concepts for small boats.

To date, MPB has three boats in varyings stages of design, and at least three other boats and boat components described and waiting for CAD work. MPB plans to either manufacture the designs alone or in partnership with manufacturers, or sell the completed designs for third party manufacturing.

Required skills include:

- excellent CAD abilities
- willingness to explore untried ideas
- “beyond the hull” design capabilities, i.e., propulsion and boat component design

While MPB is willing to work with anyone worldwide, proximity to Michigan would be a plus to allow for frequent face-to-face brain storming sessions.

Terms of any partnership are negotiable. Must be willing to sign a non-disclosure/non-compete agreement. Please contact Mark Vermilion at mark@marcopoloboats.com.

If I may reply, my granting you and everyone a new important rewarding opportunity, should be thanked for; as this is what I also will appreciate if someone lets me know of new-knowhow for the industry or for my locating a good contact person in a potential business venture which is good for the industry and its partners.

We all hope to be paid for our work! I already have more then $2 Millions invested in this project, and yet to see my pay from this effort I have made to advance Maritime knowhow (Based on my invention).
Please note, that where you have more to offer a client then others can, you can expect more rewarding success for your actual investment and time on any project you work on - like in this case, where new knowhow can put you ahead of the competition, which is the 1st benefit I had offered you!

I understand, that the nature of good business, starts with good-will, as it is expressed within this website, a website which is extending the goodwill of its owners and actual supporters who are helping mariners like us network and potentially benefit from our effort and investment in time and actual funds.

My point: Is please be/stay thankful and respectful, as I am, for this fine website and the good networking and opportunities plus education it does offers so many mariners and people, worldwide, people who are interested and also need to know more about boating and related issues to good safer and more joyful boating.

But since you have decided to open your mouth let me just chime in here a bit. You have come onto a website devoted to Marine DESIGN not VENTURE CAPITOL. You have made claims about your product that you are in no way willing to support with facts, and then you seem to get upset that people are calling you on it. I searched the web, I googled you. I have called some friends in BC and we will see just what is what.

I will remind you that YOU came HERE and MADE CLAIMS that YOU are NOT willing to SUPPORT.

So either back up what you and your product can do with some actual verifiable proof. Or find a website that isnt full of Engineers, Scientist and Mariners that deal in the REAL WORLD with REAL FACTS. If you want money go see your banker. You say your company is worth 2.9 Mil then you can surely front a SBA loan for the $25,000.00 you want.

PS I am what the US government calls a "Qualified Investor". If you do not know what that means then look it up. I have yet to see anything you have published on any of your ideas including your ASCIIII idea that would make me give you bus money.

So get some proof, or go find someplace where people are willing to give away thier money. This is a BOAT DESIGN forum.

Seem to be getting mad there. Thats ashame. Dosnt change any facts though. Hey I get amazing claims all the time. Why just today I was told that if I would just trust someone I would have a website that made millions, I would get a check from a guy in Zimbabwey for 22mil If I would just give them my bank account and that aliens had landed in New Mexico and the government used the technology to create the lava lamp.

K9 - yep, you have some good points there. This guy is on three separate threads, talking about a revolutionary new air and fin system to dramatically increase boat hull speed.
According to his web site, if you have between 200 and 800 thou, you can learn the mystery and make a lot of money.
A lot of other people are shaking their heads in amazement too - it does read like the Zimbabwe letter you referred to.

One thing I have learned here, in less than a week; and it is, that there are more of you self fooling people here, than the needed good trusting open minded wise people sought for advancing the maritime industry by first, just trusting truth and being helpful in the process of rewarding-referrals of good business opportunities set for taking new important products and services for successful introduction into the markets of the maritime industry.
Also, I have witnessed, that there may be now less members here, who may be willing to be helpful in bringing my exclusive new knowhow to the industry, especially with already so much dirt throwing into my good honest thread with conservative information on a highly valued business-development project, by these very same small group of self-fooling self-feeders persons creates, shameless persons who in most cases are not even credible enough to be using their real names and post a true personal profile, and within this one week, I have only witnessed 2 credible members who are not part of the negative self feeding crowd of doubters and free spinning intellectuals who are focused on insulting only, if they do not get theirs expectations in theirs ways.
This are my sad findings, for otherwise fine website!
